I'm a conservative Christian that has no problem speaking my mind. I consider myself "down to earth" and a "simple country folk" type. I am also a cancer (lymphoma) survivor, though I'm still fighting the fight.
I love cats, I'm a movie buff so I collect movies... and music, I enjoy card & board games... love puzzle type games, and I like to cook. (Everything tastes better with either garlic or chocolate.)

I am ashamed to say that I could only name a handful of those presidents. Yes, change happens. I'm glad we have an African American president -- I just with it was Colin Powell! Sigh ...
You're not alone... there were quite a few names I felt I had never heard before.
I'm happy that a black man, well, a half-black man was able to win the presidency. That's a big step in this nation's history. I just wish everyone would come back down to the real world and remember... he is just another president.
He is not a rock god, nor is he the Savior, the Messiah, or second coming of Christ. If you don't agree with him or you believe that his thinking is going to hurt the country... it doesn't mean you're racist.
Just because he can 'turn a pretty phrase' doesn't mean he's a great man. For crying out load, at least wait for him to do SOMETHING before you all start falling down around his feet!
I have never witnessed such star-struck fanatics like this... his followers (worshippers) are positively cult-like.
I am surprised that more people are not concerned about this behavior. I sit back looking around, thinking, "Are you people serious? What the heck is going on with this country?" It's scary!
